With a long and successful track record in the Equipment Leasing & Financing Industry, Mr. Nielsen founded Onset Financial in November of 2008. His vision to assemble the most complete and experienced management team and build a world-class finance company continues to guide Onset's course. Focused on building meaningful, lasting relationships, Mr. Nielsen's desire to offer outstanding service and increased sources of funds has been the foundation of Onset's ability to help its clients obtain the financing they require — even in the midst of our recent economic turmoil. While earning his B.A. in Communications with a Minor in Technical Sales, Mr. Nielsen played basketball on a scholarship from Weber State University where he was an Academic All-American and participated in the prestigious NCAA Post Season Tournament. Mr. Nielsen enjoys spending time with his wife and children, golfing, and the outdoors.

scott miller PRESIDENT

Mr. Miller joined Onset in 2009 as Vice President of Business Development. In this position, Mr. Miller established additional funding source relationships and increased the variety of financial structures Onset is able to offer its clients. In 2010 Mr. Miller was named President of Onset, and his business savvy and ability to understand the needs of Onset's financial partners has led him to continue broadening Onset's funding relationships, including increasing non-institutional offerings. Mr. Miller's leadership continues to fuel Onset's diversification and growth. Prior to joining Onset Financial, Mr. Miller was a partner in a real estate development firm where he raised funds for master-planned communities, condominium developments, and related projects. Mr. Miller has a Bachelors of Science from Brigham Young University, where he played college golf and participated in two National Championships. When out of the office, Mr. Miller enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor recreation.

charlie sumpter VP OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Mr. Sumpter joined Onset with nearly two decades of experience in refining processes and creating business systems that reduce costs & increase efficiency. Mr. Sumpter is responsible for the design & development of Onset's custom internal systems which manage the entire business process...from prospecting to credit to documentation to lessee account management. In addition to managing Onset's systems and infrastructure, Mr. Sumpter oversees all accounting, HR and employee benefits activities. Prior to joining Onset, Mr. Sumpter operated an information technology consulting firm servicing clients throughout the greater Salt Lake Metro area. Mr. Sumpter keeps himself busy enjoying time with his family, sports, staying up with latest in technology, and the outdoors.

Mr. Atwood joined Onset with an extensive background in financial assessment and evaluation. As a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mr. Atwood is intimately aware of corporate accounting practices and policies. Mr. Atwood has earned both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University's School of Accountancy, one of the nation's top ten accounting programs. Prior to joining Onset, Mr. Atwood served as the Accounting Manager with a regional accounting firm where he worked primarily with financial institutions in business and consumer lending, responsible for auditing loan portfolios over $500 million as well as multi-million dollar individual loans. He has put his experience and training to work improving efficiency and implementing industry best practices with multiple financial institutions. Outside of the office, Mr. Atwood enjoys camping, climbing, and spending time with his wife and son.

nancy eggan EVP OF INTERNAL OPERATIONS

Mrs. Eggan joins Onset with over 35 years of experience in lease documentation and administration. Her industry expertise allows her to secure and protect the interests of Onset and its underwriting relationships while understanding the needs of the Lessee and their vendor relationships. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of daily operations, having experience in accounting, credit analysis, underwriting, asset valuation and remarketing, in addition to lease documentation. Mrs. Eggan enjoys golfing, reading and cooking and also helps her husband run their family owned restaurant.

Mrs. Allen joins Onset’s documentation team with over twelve years of experience in both the leasing and banking industries. Her background includes many elements of finance, including lease documentation, contract negotiations, bank and audit compliance, underwriting, remarketing, and asset procurement. With her solution-oriented mindset and positive outlook, Mrs. Allen enjoys the challenge of completing unique and customized transactions. Prior to joining Onset, Mrs. Allen served as Senior Vice President of the equipment finance division of a publicly traded bank. She was the recipient of a scholarship through Project Working Mom and attended American InterContinental University where she obtained a degree in Business Administration, graduating with honors. She has a passion for reading and loves spending time camping, fishing, boating and playing sports with her husband and their four children.

Mr. Finlinson brings more than 15 years of legal expertise to Onset Financial as the company's General Counsel. He is an experienced corporate attorney whose law practice focuses on outstanding cost effective legal solutions for businesses. Prior to joining Onset Financial, Mr. Finlinson was a shareholder at Ray Quinney and Nebeker in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was part of the firm's corporate, tax and real property sections. He has represented clients locally and nation-wide in multi-million dollar mergers and acquisitions and has represented equipment leasing companies in transactions across the country. For the past six years, he has been ranked by his peers as one of Utah's "Legal Elites" as published in the Utah Business Magazine. Mr. Finlinson is an active member of the Utah State Bar where he is a frequent presenter and lecturer on business matters and served as the past president of the Bar's Business Section. He graduated from the University of Utah College of Law where he served on the Utah Law Review. He is an avid road biker and skier and enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters.

Mrs. Brady directs Onset's lease documentation and administration, leveraging her decade of lease transaction processing experience. Mrs. Brady oversees all documentation and lease servicing operations, and has honed her team's processes enabling fast documentation turnaround and preparation. Mrs. Brady's extensive training and transactional experience with Uniform Commercial Code, Secretary of State filings, Vendor Reviews, Document Legal Reviews, Invoicing, Sale & Leaseback, Asset Procurement, PMSI Establishment, and related fields ensures Onset's leases are legally compliant and Onset's interests in lease assets are secured. Mrs. Brady enjoys spending time with her husband, raising their three children, and participating in family recreation.

matt burrows EVP OF SALES

Mr. Burrows is a tremendous leader in the Equipment Leasing & Financing industry. He attended school at Snow College and Southern Utah University, playing strong safety and linebacker on the football teams at both schools. Out of college, he completed NASD series 6, 63, & 65. As a registered representative of Washington Square Securities, Mr. Burrows worked as a financial advisor to over 5,000 employees within the largest PEO in the state of Utah. He parlayed his experience in sales to become one of the top producing distributors with a world wide producer of health products. Entering the leasing industry in early 2006 as account executive, Mr. Burrows was subsequently promoted to Manager, Vice President, and now serves as Onset's EVP of Sales.

With distinguished and award-winning broadcasting experience, Ms. Worthen brings tremendous branding, marketing, and public relations experience to Onset Financial. Her enthusiasm and creativity have been hallmarks of her on-air personality, and they are just as prevalent off-camera. Ms. Worthen is responsible for building and representing Onset’s brand, both internally and public-facing. She works tirelessly promoting Onset to our clients and partners, ensuring they know how partnering with Onset Financial can support their business’ success. Prior to joining Onset, Ms. Worthen covered news, weather, and co-hosted a lifestyle show for a Salt Lake City television station, and her work has been featured on CNN and CBS Morning News. Ms. Worthen and her family are advocates for at-risk children, and they recently adopted a child through Utah Foster Care. She also enjoys travelling with her family.

Mr. Brooks began working with Onset in 2009 as a funding partner. Mr. Brooks has extensive background in sales and sales management. His passion is training, leading and managing dynamic sales forces to introduce new products, open new markets and grow market share. He has spent a majority of his career in healthcare’s medical device industry. Mr. Brooks holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management and a Masters of Business Administration from Gonzaga University. He enjoys playing sports and attending sporting events with his two boys, attending dance events with his two daughters and spending as much time as he can with his wife.

Mr. Birchall joined Onset with 17+ years of successful sales and marketing experience. His ability to help businesses match their needs with the financial products best suited for them has enabled Mr. Birchall to build strong relationships with his clients and help them achieve their goals. Previously, Mr. Birchall gained invaluable experience in a variety of industries, including time as an investment analyst for a Venture Capital group, as a sales manager for a top tier Leadership Training and Consulting firm where he personally contributed to a 500% increase in revenue and a 62% increase in profits, and as a Regional Manager over the northeastern states for an Employee Benefits organization where he lead sales year over year. Mr. Birchall earned his Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Brigham Young University. He enjoys outdoor activities including biking, hiking, canyoneering, and spending time with his family.

Ms. Davis brings many years of experience in the leasing industry as both a Portfolio Manager and Collections Manager. Her background managing customer accounts (including Accounts Receivable) and supervising Customer Service is a great benefit to Onset and its clients. During her time with Onset, Ms. Davis has demonstrated her depth of knowledge in many of the complexities of equipment leasing, and her efficiency and experience is a strength to Onset's Lease Operations department.
