Onset Financial Employees Help Fight Hunger with Charity 'Onset Gives'

August 07, 2017

Onset Financial and its incredible team members have sacrificed over 40 quality hours, which are typically dedicated to multi-million dollar equipment finance projects, to the Utah Food Bank.  Employees from all departments such as sales, accounting, documentation, etc. were organized and deployed by Onset Financial to serve our great community at the Utah Food Bank.

“To be able to help out at the Utah Food Bank is an amazing opportunity,” said Kaitlin Shurtz, Graphic Designer, Onset Financial. “I am so grateful for the Utah Food Bank and everything it does and stands for.”

Summer is historically one of the toughest times for the Utah Food Bank.

“The thing that’s great about a group like Onset is they’ve taken the time to get to know us and know the problem we have (with hunger),” said Ginette Bott, Chief Development Officer, Utah Food Bank, “That partnership will be collaborated and will be great so thank you.”

Onset Financial introduced its own philanthropic branch, ‘Onset Gives’ earlier this year. “Onset Financial is grateful for these tremendous organizations like the Utah Food Bank which afford us this opportunity to give back to our community,” said Justin Nielsen, Chief Executive Officer, Onset Financial, “We are also incredibly grateful for our awesome staff who served with such willingness and great attitudes. Onset will continue to send our highly talented people to serve at the Utah Food Bank throughout the remainder of this year and next year as well.”

Onset Gives will host its first charity golf tournament August 29 at Thanksgiving Point. All proceeds will benefit ‘Hope Kids’ an organization that helps families of children with life-threatening illnesses.
