Melinda Haynes

President, Lease Operations

Melinda Haynes is the President of Lease Operations and joined Onset Financial in January 2017. Haynes is thrilled to be part of the Onset family and work with the incredible leaders in the Finance Committee.

She previously spent 30 years working in banking where she was a Senior Vice President and Director of Bank Operations at Zions Bancorporation, a $65 billion (assets) bank holding company. Her role included leading operational services of numerous departments that supported the affiliate banks in eight states. Haynes has served in a variety of leadership positions. She specializes in high-performance team management, process improvement and expense reduction initiatives, leading large change-management projects, improving customer service, and has over 25 years of operations experience.

Haynes graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah and completed a graduate-level degree from Pacific Coast Banking School (PCBS) where she was in the top 10 percent of her class. She is a graduate of the Utah Banker’s Association (UBA) Executive Development Program. She served on the Women’s Business Forum committee. In 2014 and 2015 she was a member of Zions Bank’s winning team of women bank executives, as selected by American Banker magazine in its “Most Powerful Women in Banking” issue. In 2016, she was a member of the Zions Bancorporation winning team. She is a member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) Executive Roundtable.

Her favorite things are watching her children compete in their sports of lacrosse, cross-country and barrel racing and getting involved with the Onset Gives service opportunities to help those in need.
