August 29, 2019

Onset Gives, in conjunction with Onset Financial, hosted the third-annual Onset Gives Charity Golf Tournament on August 26. This year’s event was held at Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah with profits benefitting Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Baseball All-Star Wally Joyner, Onset’s Vice President of Strategic Development, anticipated a great event. “This is always a fantastic day,” said Joyner. “We get to have a great time on the course while we help a great cause.”

The tournament featured stars including two-time National MVP for the Atlanta Braves, Dale Murphy, former NFL star Austin Collie, retired baseball legend John Buck, former MLB third baseman Vance Law, former NFL tight end Chad Lewis, local BYU legend Robbie Bosco, Ute alumni and 12 season NFL pro Scott Mitchell and many others.

Individuals from across the state travelled to support Onset Gives with the goal of raising money for Primary Children’s Hospital. The tournament capped at a total of 100 players.

“This tournament is an incredible day for our company,” said Justin Nielsen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Onset Financial. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to unite our organization in working for such a great cause.”

Primary Children’s Hospital is a not-for-profit, free-standing children’s hospital providing quality healthcare for children with complex illnesses and injuries from across the United States for nearly 100 years.

Onset Gives is in its third year and will feature Jim Gaffigan at a black-tie gala later this year.
